Apparently vegan fashion is nothing to be afraid of anymore and you don’t have to be a granola eating hippie to want to wear vegan shoes or clothes today. Right. Sorry, I’m being a tad facetious (?) sarcastic (?) – I am SO SICK AND TIRED of people starting articles out that way, especially “big” “reputable” newspapers like the LA Times – like it’s a surprise to anyone that there are actually lots of designer out there making beautiful vegan/eco-friendly clothing.
But I digress. Kind of. You see, it was this recent article on vegan fashion in the LA Times (Vegan fashion is not an oxymoron. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) that’s sparked all the recent higher-profile interest in designers like Vaute Couture and Olsen Haus, so it’s only fitting I mention it. Anyway, I’ve mentioned Olsen Haus vegan shoes before, and while they are indeed fashion-forward, I never found a pair I’d be willing to actually pay money for, until now.
Kaight featured these magenta faux suede flats on their blog today:
But I really think I like the Citron color on the Olsen Haus website even more:
I absolutely LOVE that citron/chartreuse color – it’s very versatile (I have a tank top in that color) and just adds a great pop of color to any otherwise neutral outfit.
What do you think?
