I love the line that Stella McCartney’s been doing for Adidas the last several years – especially the bags & shoes. It’s not cheap by any means, but it’s certainly less than her main line, and way more fashionable workout wear than most other brands. This Adidas by Stella McCartney gym bag is 100% vegan, and I think would make a great handbag or school bag in addition to a gym bag:

I’ve written extensively about eco-friendly handbags, and those articles have included some vegan bags, but this time, it’s all for the vegans; no leather here. Vegan doesn’t have to mean “leather alternative” in every instance, but there are some very good leather-looking bags out there. Don’t forget about canvas, hemp, recycled candy wrappers, wool, billboards, tire inner tubes…bags are made from nearly everything nowadays, the possibilities are endless.
Here are some of my favorites, but also check out our extensive list of Shopping sites for more resources for vegan and eco-friendly handbags, and our list of coupon codes for coupons for boutiques & designers featured in this article. Oh, and if I missed any great vegan handbag designers, please leave a comment and let me know!! I’ll be happy to add it…
