Today starts another fabulous Olio United Trunk Show – this time featuring sustainable & locally made pieces from Portland designers Emily Katz & Sword and Fern, as well as San Francisco shoe designer Form & Fauna and New York designer Bahar Shapar.

Everything in the trunk show is marked down this week ONLY (be sure to check back here everyday; I’ll be featuring my favorite piece from each collection the rest of this week) – and I’m so excited to that Green Grechen has teamed up with Olio United for an exciting giveaway of a trunk show piece from Emily Baker’s jewelry recycled/sustainable line, Sword & Fern:

About the Trunk Show Designers:

Bahar Shahpar, New York City: Bahar Shahpar’s luxurious and sustainable womenswear line is smart, playful, and feminine- much like her customer. Her collection is a harmonious display of bold colors and prints, beautiful craftsmanship and design, and fine, earth-friendly fabrics.

Form and Fauna, San Francisco: Form and Fauna creates beautiful shoes from some of the highest quality sustainable materials, including organic cotton and hemp fabric, Italian synthetics, and second generation scrap wood. The collection is all handcrafted by artisans in the U.S.

Emily Katz, Portland: Emily Katz’ current eco-collection is an exhibition of simple, neutral colors and sexy, yet classy silhouettes. Her signature pieces include wrap dresses and oversized cowl neck tunic tops- staple pieces for the modern closet.

Sword and Fern, Portland: Inspired by everything from organic geometry and modern sculpture to the abundance of Pacific Northwest passages and forests, self-taught designer Emily Baker has created an eco-friendly collection of earrings and necklaces using cast off car parts, recycled glass, and found ephemera. The result is a classically futuristic aesthetic of elegant and clever sustainability.

If you haven’t checked out Olio United since their re-design, you MUST! They don’t have a lot of items back up yet, but they have added a great Portland Designer section with some AWESOME pieces by Heather Treadway. All of her pieces are handmade in Portland, and this Taos dress (my favorite) uses a reclaimed quilted panel at the top.

Definitely check out the video about Heather (she’s super-cute) and use code “springlove” for 20% off at Olio United through 6/30. Go Portland :-)
