Oh..today at 12 noon EST, Melissa Plastic Dreams shoes go on sale at ideeli <--sign up via my link if you're not a member already. In case you're not aware of Melissa’s plastic shoes already, they’re recyclable, made in Brazil, and sustainably produced from start-to-finish.
For those of you who cringe at the idea of wearing plastic on your feet; don’t knock it ’till you’ve tried it
I will admit, I’m not a big fan of many of the non-sandal styles, or the heels, but I am absolutely in love with both my pairs of Melissa flat sandals. They are CUTE, comfortable, perfect for crazy rainy weather like we’re having in Austin right now, and they always get tons of compliments. I’m getting at least one more pair during this sale…what are you getting?

In case you haven’t heard, blue – especially marine, or bright blue – will be a HUGE color for Spring 2010. If you’re like me, and don’t like to wear a lot of color, these super-cute shoes by Melissa are a great way to get color in your wardrobe without draping yourself in it…

Honestly, I’m more of a fan of oxford flats on others – I think they can be so cute. This season, I’ve been tempted to try them myself with jeans or wide-leg pants though, and currently, I’m crushing on this PURPLE (!) version by Melissa:

They’re also available in a mustard yellow color and black at Kaightshop.com where you can save 20% with code “finally” through 10/11.
Sodafine is one my favorite sources for eco friendly, organic, fair trade, local designers, handmade and vintage clothing and accessories online; they consistently introduce new designers and innovative pieces. Today and tomorrow (9/22 & 9/23), take 20% off your order with code “Grechen2day.”
My favorite new pieces are by Spanish designer, Raasta, made from organic cotton and wool/silk:

And I can’t help but love these Recycled/Recyclable Plastic shoes by Melissa:
