Must Have: Organic Bamboo Sundress

by grechen on June 16, 2009 | SUBSCRIBE | TWITTER | FACEBOOK |

I have a few Lizzie Parker bamboo pieces and truly love them. Bamboo in the Summer is fabulously cooler than cotton, and I love the drape it gives dresses. This tie-dyed sundress is made from organic bamboo and lycra:

I would not be able to pull these off with my thick calves, but I do love them! These cute lounge knickers by Nixxi are made from soy & organic cotton, or you can choose bamboo & organic cotton. They’re available at Planet Threads, where you can save 20% using code “stylehouse” through 6/15.

Seven Stylish Sustainable Sundresses

by grechen on June 2, 2009 | SUBSCRIBE | TWITTER | FACEBOOK |

I LIVE in dresses during the Summer: they’re easy to throw on, cooler than jeans, or even shorts in my opinion, and always cuter. There isn’t a single body type that doesn’t look good in a dress – you just have to experiment and find the best one for you.

And now, eco-fashionable sundresses are just as cute, or cuter, than their conventional counterparts, so there’s no excuse not to try one or two this summer. Put your money where your conscious is!!

Now, on to the dresses…

I was just checking out eco-boutique Juno and Jove and discovered that all the Diane Kennedy clothing (available in up to sizes 2X) is on sale, many pieces are 50% off. All of Diane’s pieces are made ethically in Canada using Bamboo and/or Tencel. My favorite of the lot is this scoop tee, which as you’ll see, has multiple “scoops!”
