Must Have: Sustainable Cork Cases

If you regularly read Grechen’s Closet or grechenscodes.com, you know that I’m constantly posting cute pouches & cases. I have a couple of pouches inside my handbag and am a firm believer that you can’t have too many; you never know when you will need to carry more stuff (and stay organized)!

Of course, they’re all the better when the pouches are made from a sustainable material (cork) and lined with recycled billboards. These cork cases range from a small size, perfect for receipts, to a larger size, which would be nice for a netbook, and are created by the award-winning Design with Conscience program by Artecnica, the Los Angeles-based studio that teamed up with ad giant TBWA to recycle its billboards. Priced from $18 at A+R Store:

I love these.. Cork is a great material… And they would be great for so many things, a small sketchbook and pencils too.
