I’ve been looking at this 100% hemp jersey tunic at Calypso online forever…and now it’s marked down to $69 (from $139) and available in three colors. You could theoretically wear it as a dress, or as a swimsuit cover-up, but I think it would be really nice with leggings or jeans as the weather cools off a bit:

Beautiful!
Also Grechen, I’ve tried to research hemp since you told me that it’s your favorite eco fabric, but I haven’t been able to find very good info. I’d love to hear more about it from you!

here’s the original article i wrote about hemp: http://www.greengrechen.com/2008/09/16/featured/5-ways-to-add-hemp-to-your-life/ – it has some resources in it, but there’s really not a whole lot of info. available. the fact is, that hemp is kind of a miracle-fiber – it’s 3x stronger than cotton – but even growing it is so much more sustainable and healthy for the environment. hemp doesn’t require a lot of chemicals/pesticides/water to grow and can be grown in all sorts of climates. but not in the US – on a large scale anyway. i’m going to do more research and revisit the issue…stay tuned
