It’s just become habit for me now, but I always have my little BAGGU bag (thanks Candice) folded up in a pouch inside my purse, so I use it whenever I’m out: the bookstore, Saks, Sephora, the Gap, J Crew… Do you carry a reusable bag with you all the time? Or do you only use reusable bags for groceries? I could act all high & mighty and say that I NEVER use plastic bags or whatever, but the truth is I do get plastic bags at Target and reuse them as trash bags (haven’t bought trash bags in years). I mainly use reusable bags because they’re easier to carry, and I HATE having plastic and paper bags all over the house. Less waste, and better for the environment is good too

I love the sturdy canvas bags that I have collected over the years…no particular brand.

Argh! I feel so lame- I almost always have my bag with me, but I don’t usually think to use it unless I’m at the grocery store. Oftentimes though I will decline to take a store bag from the cashier if I can easily carry or stuff my purchases in my purse. My favorite is my Chico bag because it is so compact when not in use, and is easy to keep with me as it fits into even in my smallest purse.

i put stuff in my purse too – but for clothing, etc., i use my reusable bag. cashiers think it’s weird, but whatever
I have been known to make cashiers repack my stuff if I remember too late that I have my Baggu or Chico Bag in my purse, but I always have at least 2 or 3 of them with me. I try to remember to use them for all purchases…not just groceries. And if I do forget them for some reason, I’ll often walk out of a store with my purchase in my hands
