C&C California adds Hemp Clothing

You may or may not know about my position on hemp – so here it is: I believe that hemp is more sustainable and therefore eco-friendly than organic cotton, certainly bamboo, and probably all fibers from animals (i.e. silk, alpaca, wool, etc.). Hemp is easy to grow (if it’s legal to grow on a large scale), very hardy, and produces a high quality & durable garment.

Anyway, I’m always pleased to find more contemporary fashion designers/companies like C&C California incorporating hemp – even if it is only 60/40 hemp/cotton. It’s better than nothing, and definitely a step in the right direction. And a nice addition to their organic cotton collection.
