I don’t talk much about home design/decor here, not because it doesn’t interest me, but because I find it all very expensive and quite intimidating. But now that we’re all moved into our new apartment in Austin, I’m seeking out little things here and there to make it feel more like home. One of my favorite places to browse online for home decor is Branch home because nearly everything there is sustainable, recycled, or ethically made, and they carry lots of very affordable items.
Like these bamboo pebbles by Bambu – made from 100% organically grown bamboo by products of Bambu’s bamboo cutting boards – which are only $20 for the set, and perfect for laying about:

As you must know by now, Beklina is one of my all-time favorite eco-boutiques, so when I got the Sale!! e-mail from Angelina this morning I headed over to take a look. Indeed there are some amazing pieces – some marked down 40% – but this “shaggy lobster” printed organic cotton shift dress by Lina Rennell is my FAVORITE. I’m honestly a little confused by the shaggy lobster, but I think the print is awesome…

I’m no polyvore expert, but sometimes it’s fun to play around – and since I found lots of super-fab sale items at Kaight today, I thought I’d create a simple outfit…I generally like to have one “stand-out” item per outfit, and for this one it’s the pink shoes (LOVE!). I think the rest of the outfit should be rather neutral, but still interesting, hence the Mociun tulip dress.
