Must Have: Tory Burch Vegan Wallet

by grechen on June 30, 2009 | SUBSCRIBE | TWITTER | FACEBOOK |

Tory Burch’s designs have really grown on me recently – I have a pair of patent leather reva flats and a cardigan I live in during the cooler months – and I’m pleased to see she’s come out with a vegan “leather” wallet:

It’s not cheap by any means, you can definitely find a vegan wallet for cheaper, but it’s a classic, and it’s HUGE, which means you can also use it as a clutch if you need to….

I’ve been meaning to feature this super-cute organic cotton racer back tank with crochet detail from Bevello since I found it a few weeks ago…but sadly, it ended up buried under other things. And then I was reminded of it again when I was browsing the new re-modeled fig & sage, one of my personal favorite eco-fashion blogs.

I love the unexpected crochet piece in the back, and how the top flares out a bit at the hip. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that Bevello posts a variety of views of each piece and clearly lists the measurements of all the models – who are all friends or employees of the site. With some pieces, they even show it styled differently! (why all online boutiques don’t do that, I have no idea, but I’m glad Bevello does, and that they feature affordable clothing)

I’m a huge fan of Kate D’Arcy’s designs at Toggery (see my review here), and now you can get this very cool organic cotton dress for about $42 at Basic Boutique using code HEATWAVE for 30% off (code expires 6/26).

Must Have: Organic Inhabit!

by grechen on June 25, 2009 | SUBSCRIBE | TWITTER | FACEBOOK |

Besides James Perse, my next favorite designer for super-high quality basics is Inhabit NY. I have 4-5 Inhabit cashmere sweaters, and 4 Inhabit cotton sweaters that I really live in during cooler months. They’re fabulous for layering, and come in really great “neutral” colors. But I’ve never seen their organic cotton pieces on sale…until now. (I usually wait for a sale at Inhabit to buy anything – their sample sales are phenomenal!)

Inhabit’s marked now nearly everything 40% (some more) and included in those markdowns are three organic cotton tops:

Organic Cotton tee: $78

Organic Cotton tee: $78

Organic Cotton tank: $68

Organic Cotton tank: $68

Organic Cotton tee: $68

Organic Cotton tee: $68

All sales are final on these items, but I promise you, you won’t regret a single Inhabit purchase. They are pieces you’ll live in for a very long time…
